Hey I heard that G3's are easy to overclock. Therefore I'm wondering , how can I overclock the G3 crescendo upgrade card that I have in my 6500? Currently it runs at 400mhz, maybe I could get it to run at 450? Well thanks for any help/advice....

Hi again 🙂

Yes - the Sonnet G3 cards can be overclocked on a 6500 via software 🙂

... although I tried this on my 6500/G3 400Mhz, and it didn't seem to do much, couldn't get any difference in performance.

Be careful with that. The 6500 has terrible cooling.

I overclocked my 6500/400 to 500 MHz with the clocker tool, but the extra 100 MHz made for many more crashes.

Peace,

I tried this tool....with no success.......either it doesn't overclock anything or it does and then it crashes at start up....oh well...400mhz it stays I guess until I can find a solution....
