i could not resist and managed to dig up the following machines

an bondie blue imac

a beige G3

a 6400

a external scsi cd writer (needs toast )

an lc 475 with screen and full set of floppies claris work at ease and system 7.5

and finally

an ibook G4 933

..now where do i put all this stuff ?

The TAM's a great machine. I got one years ago, for a lot more money than free.

I love At Ease, though I think I'm the only one ...

No, i love At Ease too. 🙂 I even spent $2 on a legit copy at a thrift store last year. 🙂

In high school I wrote a couple programs with At Ease in mind.

The first was in my BASIC class. I wrote a QuickBASIC program to delete the At Ease preferences file. Then I could restart the computer with no security.

The second was actually approved by the school to be installed. I used FutureBASIC to write a program that would allow students to delete files from their floppy disks (the version of At Ease we used did not allow this). Essentially, the program would allow you to delete any file you liked... as long as it was on a disk less than 2 MB in size. 🙂

its next to my imac G5 i always thought of the tam as the predecessor to the imac G5

and i managed to get myhands on a G3 400 mhz card for the tam
