Just picked up a Performa 400 off my BIL's folks on Thursday night. My sister and BIL brought it back with them when they visited his folks in Iowa over the weekend. I haven't had time to fire it up yet, but his mom said that it didn't work because it was asking you to download software for it. I have a feeling that the hard drive got borked by something and they just needed to reinstall the system onto it. It came with a Performa Plus display, a box of software and a Stylewriter II printer. They couldn't find the keyboard in the closet where everything else was, though I have well over a hundred here already, so no problems there! }🙂
Its still tooling around in the back of my one Jeep, so I will have to remember to bring it all in and fire it up sometime soon. We used to have one of these in my grade school back in the day. I used to play Civil War on it all the time.
