| A Quadra 630 at 175$ CAD. WOW! |
Posted by: meall on 2007-08-30 18:32:58 Considering that this computer sold at around 1200$ US in 1994, great deal, hein?
That's what I saw at a local shop that sells everything used: from furniture to computers.
At that price, I think the guy it waiting for the fish to come in...
Funny. I wanted to negotiate a nice deal (for me) on this, but considering I would offer him around 5% of his display price, not sure he would have agreed!

Posted by: Maconthemove on 2007-09-01 21:20:07 I see that kind of pricing in Craigslist all the time. People wanting way over the the real value of the item. It does not surprise me that he paid that price for it.

Or does not have a clue. That's about the price range I wanted to offer him. But I was disadvantage by the initial price, as the guy most likely would not have agree to my sales term 😉

Posted by: mongo on 2007-09-04 07:33:28 I once posted classic II for $20 in Craiglist. I wanted to gauge the interest in older computer equipment. I couldn't believe it when some guy offered $50. Man, they wanted that computer in a bad way, immediate pickup. When the guy came over he was bubbling with excitement. $50... who am I to judge.
Another time someone posted an AIO for $100, I forget the model. Turns out he was some kind of local TV producer, nice guy, artsy type. He originally paid a $100 for the computer. I think he bought it as a conversation piece, and decided to sell the computer when the novelty was gone.
