My partner's mother used to work for a local school district, and she would frequently get Mac equipment at low or no cost.

She had mentioned to me that she had "an old mac" up at the family cabin, but didn't know anything about it. She said I was welcome to have it.

So yesterday, we drove out to the cabin to deliver some furniture, and I went searching for the "old Mac" what I found was this guy:

Sorry for the sideways upload- I'm posting this from my phone.

Ooh, a SuperDrive model!!! Out of curiosity, what is the serial number on that one? I'm trying to get a feel for how many post-October 1990 SE SuperDrives are actually out there (I've seen some with 1991 date codes).

wow, nice find...pleased to see another compact mac saved from the landfill......the old SE's, were quite the workhorses...and the later ones which sometimes read FDHD, were great machines of the era....

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner Scott. I don't want to post the serial number, but I can tell you this one has a production date from June 1990.
