Using the A/V card with a game system
Posted by: quinterro on 2007-08-22 06:01:48
I have had a Beige G3 for a while and decided to install the A/V personality card in it.

Connected to the Video/Left/Right in jacks are the A/V connections to a Sega Dreamcast console. When playing the console using the Video Player application, the video works fine, but the sound is not heard. Sounds from the G3 itself are heard through the speakers.

Any suggestions on how to hear sound from the RCA inputs?

Try going into the Sound control panel and under the Input tab select "RCA In". On my Beige G3 (under OS 9.2.2) there is also "DAV Analogue In". Not entirely sure which one is the personality card input so give them both a try.

p.s. You will need to quit Apple Video Player before doing this.

Setting it to RCA Input worked. Thanks!
