Who on Earth would win a IIfx and not use it? That's the equivalent of winning a high-end Mac Pro these days!

Someone who doesn't care about computers? You have to remember, people were very different back in 1990 than they are now...the internet wasn't available publicly yet, and most people didn't really care about computers, nor did they know what they were capable of, other than being boring office equipment.

At the very least, if I had no intention of ever using the computer, I would have done a bit of research and found out that it was retailing for $10,000 and sold it then - instead of 17 years later when it is worth practically nothing (monetarily speaking, of course).
