Service Source, MacX, Books, & Software

Took a visit to WeirdStuff today.  I didn't buy anything, but luck would have it I didn't have to.  Their free area had a TON of goodies in it.

I found Service Source manuals for every Mac from the 128k through the IIci, also LaserWriters. 😀  Spiral bound version.  Also has a troubleshooting diskette.

In addition, I also found MacX 1.5 for Macintosh (XWindows manager for Classic), Timbuktu 2.0, and ScreenRecorder 1.0 (should be very handy.  I wanna make some videos of classic games without the need of an emulator.)

Also a few books I snagged: MacTech special issue with BeOS DR8 (CD still in it), Tao of AppleScript, OS 9 Missing Manual, Macworld Guide to 7.1, and Macworld Guide to Networking.

Nice score! I got MacX 2.0.3 recently. Need to give it a spin.

Someone was excited about BeOS running on a Mac?

😉

BeOS was super awesome.  Lightyears ahead of Mac OS and Windows.

I loved BeOS and enjoyed playing with it back when it still might have been the new Mac OS.

What OS (versions) are supported by MacX?

Cool finds!  😎
