| Value of Apple IIc in original box since early 1990s? |

Someone here in Houston has an Apple IIc that they have kept in the original box since the early 1990s when they stopped using it.
Just having the original box is worth something, and I'm willing to bet that the computer is probably in fantastic condition compared to one that has been out of a box the past 15 years.
How much would you offer for it? I need to send him an offer.

That computer could have been sitting in the sun for a decade before being reboxed, and if can't actually get a good photo or description, I wouldn't offer a fat premium for it. Earlier ones in the red box actually look more interesting to me.
I used to occasionally see new-in-box 2C Pluses sell for around $70 on eBay.

This also includes a printer, and monitor, in original box. I have asked as to any yellowing.

It really depends on who is selling it. If it's someone who is tech-savvy and uses eBay and the likes, tread carefully as they may have researched the potential selling prices. If not then make an offer that would seem a reasonable amount to someone wanting to get rid of an old computer. But at the same time don't offer anything cheekily low as they may tell you to get lost! 😉
I'm no expert on the American Apple market but Apple //c computers in the UK ususally make between £50 and £100 on eBay and that's without the box. Admittedly they are far rarer here than in the States.

Drive over to see it if he is close and offer him something after you check it out.
If you are buying sight unseen you could end up with a yellowed dirty machine in a ripped to shreds water damaged moldy box.
If the drive is not worth it, then neither is the machine.

I have a IIgs with the original box that is yellowed and dull looking. Just because they have the original box is no guarantee of condition. A broken IIc in the original box is still a broken IIc.
