In Business with Macintosh VHS
Posted by: iamdigitalman on 2007-07-09 17:06:25
ok, not really a conquest. Found it in my basement when I was looking for a fan. it's 38 minutes long, and just tells about what you can do with a mac.

it's copyright 1990.

I also paid attention, and here are the Macintoshes I counted:

-1 Macintosh Plus

-2 Macintosh SE/30s

-1 Macintosh Portable

-1 Laserwriter

-1 Macintosh IIsi

-1 Macintosh IIx with dual monitors

still, it's pretty cool. I love the cover too, has a pull down menu in greyscale.

I remember my family has (had) another Apple VHS, and I remember watching it a loooonnng time ago, so I don't know if we still have it.

I picked one of those VHS tapes up at a book sale a couple of years ago. It is really cool to see the early Mac line as they were in there prime. Business really did run on (now) vintage Macs. The SE/30 was for the intensive business ventures!!! You should be able to transfer the tape to DVD, as the tapes are getting old. My tape is not in good enough to copy.

mine is like new, I just need to get some video input device. Perhaps I should pic up a vintage mac with video inputs, like a 7500 and a cheap VCR just for these purposes.

I would like a copy of the video if you ever digitize it (or even a VHS to VHS dub if that is easier).

That would be a truly-interesting video to watch. I have "Getting Started With Apple Computers, the one that came with Performas. I often watch it when i'im bored. 😛

you should get it digitized and put it on youtube.

...and, in-keeping with the retro vibe, you should digitise it on an 840AV [😉] ]'>

ah yes, forgot about an 840AV. i wonder how long it would take on one of those. What software could I use to do it?

I am seriously going to go and look for one now, as I have a bunch of other tapes that i should digitize.

So I need an 840AV and a cheap VCR...
