10Mbps ethernet hub :)
Posted by: LCGuy on 2007-07-02 00:06:08
So today i was at a customer's place, and we were looking for a USB cable, so he was going through some old computer stuff of his. I saw an old 10Mbps hub there with its power adpator, he called it "that old thing". I said, "i'm actually in the market for one of those, if you don't want it i'll buy it off you", and he gave it to me! 🙂 Whats cool about this is that i don't have one, and certain things such as old ISA ethernet cards, Asante MCiLC cards and even the built in ethernet on some Macs can get cranky when its used on something other than a proper 10Mbps hub.

If it has an aui port, it's even a nicer score. Always good to have a hub with aui on hand.

it lacks an AUI port, but it does have 8 10BaseT ports and a BNC (10Base2) port. Oh well, i don't have any gear to use AUI, so it doesn't really matter lol
