Using infrared in OS X

I'm on my TiBook right now, OS X 10.4.9. How do I got about using the IRdA port on the back? I'd like to see if I can beam things back and forth my Zaurus for example :?:

go in to the system prefs, go under network. If it is there, it should be listed in the main section. if it has a green bubble, it is all set up. if it has a red one, click on it and click configure. Then click assist me, and choose the assistant, and follow along to set up a connection.

I suggest you select "show IR in menu bar" or something. it gives you quick control to it.

Sorry for posting this in the wrong section :x

I was trying to see if I could beam things between my Zaurus & TiBook, but I don't think that's possible. Oh well, thanks for the help 🙂
