| Need a HP ScanJet 5p Driver!! |
Posted by: Patrickool93 on 2007-06-12 13:47:45 I can't seem to find a driver for my "new" SCSI scanner. The only one I can find is for a ScanJet IIp, though labeled for a 5p. Any help appreciated!

Posted by: Patrickool93 on 2007-06-12 15:04:57 That looks good, but I need to run this on my Centris 650 on Os 8.0. The original drivers support anything with a 68030 or better..

Posted by: Kami on 2007-06-12 20:15:26 Patrickool, try going to the HP site and downloading any scanner software that is Mac compatible. I'm not sure which browser you are using but check the URL of the download site. If I remember correctly it is something like ftp.hp.com. Have a look through the ftp site and find the scanner software. You may have to download quite a few files as they were named cryptically. Unfortunately, Mac and Windows software was mixed together when I last checked

Posted by: Kami on 2007-06-12 22:17:01 What do you mean by a passphrase? I downloaded the files and opened them and off I went. I'll take a look and see if I can find that old folder of software

...a HP ScanJet IIp SCSI scanner and i'm looking for a driver. could you tel me where you found it? I have the original install CDROM for the 5p only. HP declined to support the Mac on their 5p support section; fortunately, the Mac driver appeared suddenly online for Patrickool93.
