It's just a standard PC that will run any standard PC OS, but is supposed to have exceptional high end components, such as video cards, motherboards, processors, etc. I've heard of Intergraph as producing CAD workstations, but I've never actually seen one. A Google search reveals your machine has Dual Pentium Pro 200 MHz processors; that should be fun to play with! Windows NT 4 and 2000 have pretty decent native dual processor support. If you have a PC version of Photoshop, it might be interesting to benchmark. | |
| Posted by: 30pin on 2007-06-01 20:50:25 I had an earlier model that had dual pentium 133's. It also had dual hardrives made by Connor. I overclocked it to run at 166mhz! It was my first dual cpu computer. It had a sony cd drive in it too. Same as what was in the early PowerMacs. You should be able to bump the cpu's to 233mhz. | |

THe other is soldered directly to the motherboard, so no overdrives. 🙁 | |

What video card is installed in there?I'm not sure but it does have two metallic things about 2 inches long and about an inch high on the motherboard not far from the processors that look ominous. It has an Intergraph video card installed, but I can't identify which one it is. It has a plastic housing around it with a cover that comes off and there are two DIMM slots I assume are for additional video memory, but they are nothing like any DIMM slot I have ever seen before. There's way too many pins. Probably completely proprietary. There is also a daughterboard and it has two outputs. One for 3d and the other for 2d. It takes up 2 PCI slots and is a full length card. In device manager, it shows two video chipsets, one is a Realizm 2.0 and the other is a Cirrus Logic. | |

The only thing preventing me from buying it is that the hard drive cage is missing. That particular one had a Pentuim II processor. A beige version that was there some time ago had P-II Xeon processors in it. Geez that's a huge monitor! | |

| Posted by: Quadraman on 2007-06-05 12:08:25 My digital camera is being persnickety but the two video cards are MSMT259 Rev 0 which is the Cirrus Logic daughtercard and the main card is MSMT260 Rev C which I have gathered is the Realizm Z25. This thing has two cooling fans at the rear that blow through the plastic housing across the surface of both boards and out the rear of the machine. There is also a round port similar to an S-Video with the two VGA outs. I'd have to do too much disassembly to get a clear picture of the motherboard. The machine works now, so I don't want to tear it down on the chance that it may not work when I put it back together. Here's a picture of a complete system I found that has a 410 standing on end like a tower. It really should sit flat, though. It is strong enough inside to support a huge monitor easily. http://www3.nit.ac.jp/~shindo/tdz.jpg I found this pic of the video card disassembled.
