| A Classic Conquest |
Posted by: MultiFinder on 2007-05-25 07:33:57 Well, I finally liberated that old Classic that I'd babbled about a few times before from the opressive closet at my old school. It's beat up, its screen is wobbly, and sound seems to be non-functional, but it boots into System 6.0.7 beautifully.
Now I can take its ROMs and try them in my Classic II 🙂

Posted by: MultiFinder on 2007-06-03 22:45:49 Eh, I found out it wouldn't work anyway. The Classic uses one long ROM chip while my Classic II uses 4 ROM chips.

Posted by: The Macster on 2007-06-05 17:14:12 I think he wanted to try the Rom-based OS that only the Classic I has.

WHY??!!! 😛
Nothing exciting about it. Fantastic idea though, all Macs should have that. My classic with the dead hard disk would have been useless without it. As it is, I can get it to work reasonably well as a floppy based system. You can even use file sharing through the rom startup disk. 😀
