i got its defect cousin a 6100 Defect?! I love the 6100s. They have a nice formfactor. 😛 I just need a new cover for mine, as one of the tabs is broken off, plus the CD bezel is missing.

They work ok until you need to upgrade them and realize you don't have enough room to plug anything in. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed the pizza box cases that can't take more than one expansion card mounted in awkward sideways position. The rumor that Macs can't be upgraded and have to be thrown out and replaced must have been started by these machines. I'm sure of it.

Posted by: bluekatt on 2007-05-21 07:40:13 nah that started with the 128 k mac
but its lmost impossible to upgrade it the nive formfactor be damned thats why its a defect cousin

The rumor that Macs can't be upgraded and have to be thrown out and replaced must have been started by these machines. I'm sure of it. But it's true! They cost three times as much as normal computers and you can't even upgrade them - they don't let you open them up, you have to go back to MAC and buy a new one only three years later! There's no games for MAC anyway, and one-button mice totally suck! I used that OS9 thing on someone's i-MAC once and I'm telling you, Vista Ultimate is so much better than what MAC sell you.
PS I'm joking, in case you hadn't realised 😛

You forgot the most damaging criticism of them all. They are so bad that even the monochrome compact AIOs spend most of their time showing the BSOD ...

Posted by: bluekatt on 2007-05-22 02:11:25 right so you are claiming the x200 machines are actually good ?
|
Posted by: iMac600 on 2007-05-22 03:43:39 They can be if you allocate them the right task. Mine has a TV/Video system, and it makes a great media centre machine. (albeit older)
|
Posted by: bluekatt on 2007-05-22 03:45:37 for day to day tasks they are rubbish
my 6300 had trouble finding its hard disk and when it did boot it would usually crash
