My Quicktake 150 just came in the mail today! :-*

The previous owner left pictures on it! :O

They're of basketball cards! 😛

[🙂] ]'> enjoy [🙂] ]'>

Be glad you have nothing on it to report to the authorities, who might then confiscate the camera as evidence! [😉] ]'>

Kewl! Enjoy the QuickTake! 😀

For the record, mine came with photos on it, and it was from a school. But the camera hadn't ever been used at the school, only stored. So god knows what was on there. It erased though anyway, before I had the chance to connect it up.

I have a broken QuickTake 200 - the fuse blew out on it. I probably won't ever get around to getting a fuse and replacing it...Oh well.

Seems a shame to leave it broken - is there something wrong with it that made the fuse go, or could you just stick something metal in where it's supposed to go? (assuming that it's easily accessible)

And I thought I didn't know anything about hardware. :b&w:

What do you mean? I thought that was a well-known trick for if you don't have a fuse to hand! 😛

Well the trick is to put an entire wire in but it's just the way you said it...sounded kinda funny to me.

If your Quicktake 200 is broken, it would make a great aquarium!

Yo9u could use a carrot...But you wouldn't know about that

Better yet, you could turn a Quicktake into a carrot.

What?! Is that pure randomness or is there some sort of inside joke that I'm missing here? 😛

Anyway, it would be a waste to turn it into something other than a camera, given that there's very little wrong with it from the sound of it - if you don't want to fix it, give it to one of us! 🙂

How? You can't see into it.

You could replace the lcd screen with a window.

Wasn't it Patrickool93 or IPNixon that used a Nickel in place of a blown fuse once, and then wondered why the magic smoke was being released?

If there's something wrong with the device that caused the fuse to go, then I guess replacing the fuse with metal will cause damage, as the fuse is there to stop it being damaged if there is a fault like that. Sometimes fuses seem to go for no reason though, in which case this trick is useful if you don't have a spare fuse. I think silver foil works, which is easier than trying to fit a wire in!
