A new website?

So with the forums being installed at 68kmla.org/forums, will there be a website at 68kmla.org?

Peace,

Drew

NOOO!!! Not QuickTime! Occassionally you go to Apple.com to look for something, and have to sit there for ages while the computer churns away loading whatever silly QuickTime thing they've decided to embed in their homepage, just because they think they have to use QuickTime as it's their thing.

And yes, I felt so strongly about this that I had to use my first post to make this point 😛 So hi guys, it's me, dunno if you remember me, but here I am 😛 I'm going to look around a bit and see how this new place goes before deciding whether it's for me...

Well more to the point, who are YOU? I don't recognise the name...unless, hold on, you're not that guy that sold all of his Macs around the time that the 68kmla went offline in order to fund buying a copy of Windows Vista? Aaah yes, I think it's all coming back to me now!

😛

Welcome Macster! 😀
Thanks for the welcome 🙂 Nice to see you - here's to hoping that this site works out, I expect I'll stick around if it turns out well 🙂

Oh yeah, you're that annoying Winblows user. Always good to have someone in the forum to direct our hate at 🙂

Good to have you back Macster!

Well I'm glad someone's finally found a use for me then 🙂 So it wasn't you that sold all your Macs to buy a copy of Vista, I take it? Strange, I must have been thinking of someone else...

what's wrong with good old html?

since it's a 68k website it should be accesible with a 68k mac!

Posted by: defor on 2007-05-02 06:10:46
I wholeheartedly agree - 68k website, forums, and resources should be fully functional on the a 68k system, a static splash or rotating static splash page would be nice... shrug, definitely compliance though...as it is, i'm not sure phpbb's use of css, etc fits this, but it might be possible to build a more 68k-friendly theme...

keep the 68k intro page simple.....

simple enough for a 68k to handle with ease &

dare we say a basic 68000 machine should be able to handle it, though I guess there's not many of them on the net?

but a picture can say a thousand words, and it dosn't have to move or do anything wierd.

Maybe we can vote for a favourite design for a front page?

i tend to agree, since it is the "68k"MLA, we should be able to see this on a 68k mac

I may add that QTVR's run on 68k's just fine. They were originally made for them, so even if there was one, there wouldn't be any CPU churning involved.
