WTF? We've been back an hour and already have a spam account?
One thing I always liked about the 68kMLA was the rarity of spam. What were we doing right before?

i don't think we were doing anything differently, iirc there were a number of spammers on the site pre-borkedness. there were a couple of threads about it too.

Yeah, I hadn't had time to re-install my custom CAPTCHA yet. The phpBB one seems to be pretty easily broken. Though we did used to get quite a lot of spam... it was usually cleaned up pretty quickly though. The custom CAPTCHA stopped 99% when we introduced it though.
