For security reasons, I strongly suggest that when registering and sending the confirmation e-mail, please do not send the password in plain text! That drives me nuts.
That said, it sure is great to be back! Welcome back everyone!

That's just a standard feature of phpBB. I guess it could pose a bit of a security risk...

You can always change your password immediately after you've registered...if you're paranoid.... 😉

If somebody has access to your computer (to be able to read your email), they will most likely be able to do quite a bit more damage then post silly things on this website in your name.
