Radius RocketShare & SoftPC 3.1

Just wondering if the Rocket is compatible with SoftPC or not. It would be really cool if you could boot an emulated x86 PC on a StageII Rocket within a Mac. A PC within a Mac within a Mac! I'm getting an unimplemented trap error each time it tries to run on the Rocket StageII.

I'm really not surprised, but I feel that there's no reason it shouldn't work with some work...

there's also not much reason a rocket can't boot A/UX either TECHNICALLY, but it also won't boot.

I suspect that there's some core differences in the rocket rom as compared to the 900/950 rom that it pretends to be, but I haven't looked closely or bothered to think about it much... would be nice to know...

I'd test SoftPC in a baseline configuration on a standard Rocket running in accelerator mode under RocketWare before taking a whack at running it under RocketShare. Then I'd move on to testing it on the Stage II Rocket in its RocketSare only environment. Baby steps. [😉] ]'>

I will need to get my IIcx or IIci running first before testing RocketWare. Apparently the IIfx does not support using a 33mhz Rocket with RocketWare, only RocketShare. Not sure if this is true or not.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit. The SuperIIsi doesn't support RocketWare either. :-/
