Beige G3 Wings card: How to use?
Posted by: EvieSigma on 2017-11-03 16:34:11
I got a Wings card for my beige G3. But what I want to know is...what software do I use to make use of the video functions? And how new of an OS can I run and still use those functions? My OS 8 CDs are giving me trouble so I had to put 9.0 on there just to get an OS on it...

AVID (or whoever purchased it after them) Videoshop should work. Any A/V app should see the ports.

Apple Video Player comes with Mac OS 8/9 when it's installed and it detects a video capture device (apple card specifically). If you're running an already-installed build, you may have to rerun the installer.

I installed 9.2.1 on the G3 that's in front of me, and the application's default location is inside "Applications (Mac OS 9)"

I feel like older versions of MacOS put it in "Apple Extras"

Also I think some put an alias to it in the Apple Menu.
