Sherry's finds

Hi all, long time no see! 🙂
I always felt I should share my personal collection with you, but I could never find the time to take proper pictures of it. Well, as a matter of fact I still haven't, but I figured I could just start the topic and progressively add more items!

So I'd like to start with today's find, an almost mint Macintosh SE, with very few scratches and almost no yellowing! I actually got this one for free from a guy that was essentially trying to have it gone as soon as possible, so it could have easily gone wasted in the trash. He was probably an architect at the time, because I found a CAD program on it.
What's really nice is that this little boy was kinda maxed out for its age: not only it has an 80MB hard drive instead of the standard 20 MB (still operational!), not only it has the full 4MB of RAM, but it also has... a Radius Accelerator 16 on it! I guess it helped to run CAD with reasonable performance 😀

If 4 MB of RAM can handle it*, try putting QuickTime 2.5 on it. Should run pretty well on System 6, compact Mac with that accelerator.  [8D]

I had to use "Simple Player" from one of the QuickTime Alpha/Beta disks floating out on the interwebs, since QT's Movie Player requires System 7.

Works perfectly fine on HyperCard 2.x as well!

* - and it should. It is possible to get System 7.5.5 with QT 2.5 running on 4 MB of RAM, with a reduced set of extensions.
