| Macintosh SE/30 original power cable |
Posted by: PB145B on 2017-10-10 19:11:49 I got this with the SE/30 I got off of eBay a few months ago. I could not believe it! 26 years old and it never got separated from it's original power cable! And to make things even better it didn't have a battery explosion! The caps were obviously leaky though, but thats been taken care of already 🙂

Posted by: joethezombie on 2017-10-11 06:52:21 Hmm. I never noticed the Apple logo on the power cord. Neat! I went and rounded up all my cables, and I noticed some are 90deg up, some are 90deg down, and some are straight like yours. I wish I wouldn't have mixed them up, because now I don't know what original hardware they went with!

Posted by: PB145B on 2017-10-11 14:21:22 Yeah I’ve got a 90 degree up one with an Apple logo on it, but I found it by itself so I don’t know exactly what it went to originally.

Posted by: unity on 2017-10-11 14:55:13 I didn't think the SE/30 normally came with an Apple branded power cord. I think around the time of the Plus they started to use generic ones. The Apple branded ones used on compacts usually were 90 degree down style. The generics went straight out like this one. I guess its possible. Maybe it was a mix and the ones I have come across either were switched out or had the generics. But all the original Macs, 512ks and Imagewriters, I would say about 75% came with Apple branded cords. But SE, SE/30s that I have collected, I dont recall any coming with Apple cords.
