- Macintosh Quadra 800 with PowerPC upgrade card
- Macintosh IIsi with a blown Maxell bomb xx(
- Macintosh LCII with some minor cap leakage
- Macintosh Quadra 950 with 128MB of RAM
- Macintosh Quadra 630CD with Comm. Slot Ethernet
- 2x PowerBook Duo (One with a cracked screen)
- 3x PowerBook Duo batteries with 4x carrying cases.
- 2x PowerBook Duo PSU (One dead)
- DuoDock with NuBus Ethernet
- DuoDock 2 with NuBus Ethernet & HDD upgrade kit
- External SCSI Iomega ZIP 250 drive
- External SCSI Iomega Jaz drive with a huge box of disks
- External SCSI SyQuest EZ 135 drive with a huge box of disks
The IIsi LB and its Nubus adapter may be casualties.

The LCII has some minor cap leakage. I washed it with soap and water, using a toothbrush, then water and alcohol rinses. So far it looks good, just needs new caps now.

After cleaning the goo off:

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-01 18:59:51 The LCII won't boot... When plugged in and switched on, the PSU and speaker make a buzzing noise with random frequencies. It seems to only happen when the orange wire is connected from the PSU.
Q950 & HDD work fine, needs a PowerPC upgrade card or a fresh install of 7.6.1 to use the HDD though.
Q800 just needs an HDD.
I'm looking into how I can re-cell some of these Duo batteries.

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-02 19:14:15 I ordered new caps for the LCII and the PSU, which is putting out funky voltages:

Quadra 950 won't boot from hard disk and says "You need a PowerPC Mac". I swapped in the PPC upgrade from the Quadra 800 but nothing changed. I guess I may be wiping that drive, but not before I rig it up in an external adapter to take a peek at what's on it.

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-04 18:02:03 Hm, how unfortunate. I decided to use that Quadra 630CD (It's actually a Performa) to make some System 7.5.3 floppies, and it appears to be in pristine condition, but...
It was booting just fine off a CF card yesterday, but today when I went to turn it on it gave me the "No boot disk present" icon. The CF adapter acted as if there was no PATA bus present at all, indicated by the LED which I cross-tested... Then, video output suddenly turned yellow. Not finding any problems outside the case, I opened up the case to look at the video cable, gave it a nudge, and the machine suddenly powered off! There is obviously cable breaks all over the IDC cables; it also looks like someone was previously inside the case as things are not quite in their normal places, some screws are missing, and the cable harness supports are bent.
The same LB in a different wiring harness (from my other 630) works just fine. I will probably be splitting/crimping new IDC cable to fix this one.

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-04 20:05:36 What the hell! I am so mad right now.
The other cable harness now has the same symptoms with its video cable, power-off-upon-poke and all... this time the color is blue. Guess I'll be ordering a whole reel of IDC cable.

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-06 18:54:59 Big boy. Seeing what's on it, looks like this Q950 used to be stocked with a PPC card, plus some Radius and Daystar hardware.

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-09 17:00:11 I managed to find a few things on that drive in some sort of backup folder, complete with a backed up system folder. Inside it there was a PPC Upgrade Card enabler, some related Control Panels, and a readme for the card. I should be able to boot using the PPC card with those in the right place. Looks like I'll be transplanting the PPC card to the Q950 after I move those files into the system folder. I have a NewerTech Powerpump Accelerator to stick in there too. The Q800 will be getting a NewerTech MacClip Junior Accelerator.
LCII caps are on their way.

Posted by: Floofies on 2017-10-26 07:50:04 A SCSI2SD and a ton of caps have been delivered! This LCII has a chance for life! The SCSI2SD will be going into the Quadra 950 or the 800 for now.

Posted by: Floofies on 2018-05-28 22:01:49 I finally got around to setting up the Quadra 800, and the PSU has released magic smoke after a few boots! I’ll look into cramming an ATX PSU into this thing.
Pulled the PSU apart and noticed some darkened pins... and on the other side is a current mode controller with a hole blown through it...
