| Apple Monitor II, A2M2010, in Amber? |
Posted by: Scott Baret on 2017-09-28 21:06:55 MacTracker reports this monitor was made in an amber phosphor. I can't seem to find anything to verify this, plus this is the first I have heard of it. I have never seen a stock Apple branded amber phosphor display.
Along that line, has anyone seen a white phosphor Monitor III?

Posted by: Gorgonops on 2017-09-29 10:57:21 There used to be at least one company that sold replacement CRTs for various computer monitors; Langley-St. Clair Instrumentation Systems. (The link shows an ad that appeared in a TRS-80-centric magazine, but they sold the tubes as compatible with many common home and business computer monitors of the the era.) Perhaps someone saw a Monitor II equipped with an aftermarket tube?
Re: white-phosphor monitor ///s, I could *almost* swear I saw a picture of one once, but it may have been a prototype? It's also possible, of course, that someone swapped the tube in it.
The only white phosphor Apple-branded II-compatible monitor I'm definitely sure about is that late-model unit styled to match the Apple IIc+ and IIgs.
