I am on a quest to find a sub $100 Aluminum 17" PowerBook G4. In 2004 I would visit the only Apple store here in Boise, ID known as MacLife. It was a very small building in a strip mall but seeing new Mac computers was amazing and getting to try them out was mind blowing. I remember drooling over the newly released 17" albook and how pleasant it was to use and how stunning but easy on the eyes the LCD quality was (at the time). This may even be my last PowerBook active quest for awhile.
Any pointers on where I should be looking? EBay prices are between $150-$200 shipped.

Watch eBay carefully, do a search for PowerBook, then sort by newly listed. I've seen 17" AlBooks for $65 shipped at times, working.

I plan to keep a close eye on eBay, for the time being. Albooks seem to be going at a fair price for what they can do now a days, but the larger than 12" screen models still seem to be somewhat overpriced most of the time.
