I am all thumbs and am not capable of performing the 640x480 hack on my computer. Does anyone have a system image or the System Folder of the already hacked Mac OS 8.1 that I can copy to my Color Classic with my LC 575 motherboard in it? I tried booting off the 8.1 CD and I still get the system bomb right when I get to the "Welcome to Mac OS" I pretty much have a CD burner, External SCSI HD, and SCSI CD drive to get files to my mac. Even the original system disks for the color classic would be great.

Are you saying that you get the system bomb when you try to install 8.1 from a 8.1 CD to the hard drive of your color classic?
Do you have any OS installed on your hard drive now? Did you partition your hard drive? How large is your partition? What software did you use to partition your hard drive?
