IIci in need of recapping. Offers? (Europe Preferably)

Posted by: Bolle on 2017-08-23 13:29:21 At least one of the 74HC132s in the startup circuit is gone. They do not look to good. Replacing those together with the caps usually fixes most IIcis. I can do this if you want and shipping the board to Germany is not a problem for you.

Posted by: trag on 2017-08-23 15:55:17 Agree with Bolle.  "No visible issues" is a bit optimistic.   The 74HC132s (little flat 14 pin chips) near the power supply connector clearly show corrosion from leakage from the nearby SM electrolytic caps.   This is all too common, unfortunately, but not difficult to remedy, if other things have not corroded.

Maybe you can spot something which needs recapping/repairing and we can fix both boards. Images attached. please quote (or PM me)

Posted by: Bolle on 2017-08-24 12:53:28 Don't see any obvious problem with the LC III board other than surface mount caps should have been used. Is the PSU in your LC a known good one? Usually caps in those fail too and will result in a non booting machine.
