| A big Thank You to all you hackers and developers |
Posted by: 68krazy on 2017-08-02 13:31:36 Hello all,
I want to thank everyone who hacks and develops stuff for vintage computers. In my opinion, it's the most exciting thing going on in the vintage computer world!
Twenty years ago, it would have taken a business enterprise with a formidable amount of capital and a staff of developers/engineers to come up with stuff like SCSI2SD, ADB Busboy and ADB Wombat, the FPU card for the Classic II, Floppy Emu, 68k software development and bug fixes, etc. How mind-blowing is it that we have people in our community coming up with stuff like this now on their own? This is the dream, guys! When we envisioned the future of technology and the internet in the 90s, we envisioned a world where this sort of stuff was possible. And here we are!
You all are creative and talented beyond belief, and you make the vintage computing scene a vibrant and interesting place. You keep coming up with new devices and possibilities for us all to tinker with and enjoy. Thank you for all your hard work!
(partially inspired by the SCSI2SD and ADB Wombat I've been playing with in this thread, but also just a thought that has been in my head for a few months now)
