| what is a A/UX System Drive, and do I want it? (OS 7.6) |
Posted by: mraroid on 2017-05-22 06:32:43 Hi...
I am trying to format a SCSI to CF card. I want to use this in a system running 7.6.
I can choose:
1) Multiple Mac Volumes
2) A/UX 1.0 System Drive 1 Mac OS volume
3) A/UX 1.0 Data Drive
4) A/UX 2.0 System Drive 1 Mac OS volume
5) A/UX 2.0 Data Drive
Can someone suggest which option to choose?
Thanks

Then set up the multiple mac volumes into 2GiB (2048MiB) each. If you want to install NetBSD later, make sure you leave some unpartitioned space on your CF card (maybe 4-10GiB for NetBSD?) Again, only leave the space behind if you know you are going to be using NetBSD, otherwise, it's a waste. Keep in mind if you do install NetBSD, that it requires a full 040, not LC040.
