| running 68040 software on a 68030 machine (7.6) |
Posted by: mraroid on 2017-05-18 17:16:55 Hi folks...
I am running a Color Classic II board with about 35 MBs of memory in my Color Classic. I am still using the original screen rez of 512 × 384. My OS is 7.6.1
A buddy gave me a game, but it needs a 68040 processor to run. I read some place (long ago) about some software you can run on your computer that will make software that requires a 68040 processor to run in your 68030 machine.
Can any one direct me to this software?
My Color Classic is on line, so I hope this web site can be accessed with my old copy of Netscape......
Thanks

Posted by: mraroid on 2017-05-18 17:31:11 I got a "this connect has timed out" error message when I try to access this page. Other pages seem to load OK. I will try it again later. Thanks for the tip.

Looks like the guys payment methoid is from about 1997. I will send him email and see if he is still around. The software goes dead about abvout 20 days unless you pay. I don't mind paying. Sounds good to me....
