| Cheap eBay Quadra 700 | |
| Posted by: Schafeman on 2017-05-04 06:44:29 This is the Quadra 700 that was recently on eBay for $100. So I will admit now that it arrived and I've assessed the most serious potential situation, an exploded battery (which isn't 🙂 ), I was the buyer. Its at work with me, so I haven't had a chance to dig in and test anything yet, but i'm very pleased for a 'best offer' price well under $100. According to the auction it powers on, but doesn't display anything. I guess we'll see. It does have a Macintosh II video card installed and a bunch of ram.   | |

| Posted by: Schafeman on 2017-05-04 16:52:09 UPDATE.. I re-seated the ram and vram, works good as new. Has 20mb installed and maxed out vram, since it does millions of colors @ 800x600. Has a 230mb HDD (which is a bit noisy) with System 7.5. I'd say this was a success! | |

| Posted by: omidimo on 2017-05-04 19:07:18 Sweet! If and/or when you pop in a SCSI2SD, the old workhorse will be amazing. The 601 PDS upgrade is a nice little boost if you plan to push past 7.6, but not necessary if you want to keep the machine as authentic to the time frame. | |
