| question for the moderator (68K mac web sites) |
Posted by: mraroid on 2017-05-01 14:17:48 Hello moderator (s)...
I have a question...
I see a post that I started regarding listing web sites that can be accessed with older browsers (or iCab, etc) on our older compact macs - like my color classic.
Would it be useful to make a stickie with a list of web sites that we can access? I think the list is probably well under 20 web sites, mostly run by hobbies like us. Someone could add to or delete sites as needed or we could create a list and just leave it.
Am I think only one that thinks this would be useful?
Thoughts?
thanks

Posted by: Cory5412 on 2017-05-01 16:47:41 Long term, stickied threads will be replaced by pages. We've upgraded to the latest version of invision 3 and we've added a moderator, so one of our next tasks is to upgrade to invision 4.
I forget exactly where pages is on that list, but pages will end up being something separate from the forums. It would be more akin to making a wiki page, but it'll be in the forum itself.
So, start assembling that information, but it's not going to get stickied.

Posted by: Cory5412 on 2017-05-02 19:59:30 Eventually, the Pages feature is going to resolve the problems we currently have with subforums (Hacks and Development, Peripherals are great examples) that have up to a few screen-pages worth of stickied topics, many of which haven't been touched in years.
This is a few items down on the priority list. Just off the top of my head, I know we need to fix the historic image issue as well as upgrade to Invision 4.
