apple cd rom extention 4 or older for 7.1 or older for apple drives, shoud be.

Excellent! Thanks much, I answer enough questions around here I don't feel guilty at all about asking the simple ones after a perfunctory search.
Not being able to find the driver had some unexpected results, I hooked up one of my ZIP drives for the driver transfer and confirmed that I'd killed it through some stupidity or other, but that was expected. It hung the system but good at boot, but playing with powering it up after boot bombed the system with spectacular results! 😀  Â
