Well, the contacts on my DC-DC board are beyond repair. I could try salvaging them from another donor (190) and see about resoldering, but, I'd like to get a DC-DC board that works... first.
I have 2 broken pins stuck in the holes that will not come out. (VERY FRUSTRATING!!!)
I'm going to try once more to get it reset and then hunt for a new DC-DC board. This appears to be the sole culprit in my 5300ce that is keeping it from 100% restoration. I didn't have to recap the rest of the board and the case is in nearly perfect condition after fleabay shopping for a couple of spares.

Well, I got my new solder tips and wicking copper braid from Amazon. After some rather nervousness, I did get the connector pieced together from 2 bad ones I had.
Everything is now working... !!!
