I have some SATA drives from work that I need to run some tests on, primarily bad sector tests. The software then needs to be able to mark those sectors as unusable so that the drives can continue to be used in non-essential applications.
I know there is Disk Tools Pro, but is there anything free out there that might fit the bill?

As you may know; if some of your boot sectors are bad, it may render a good drive as bad. Apple's Disk Utility would do this.
