remove Apple logo from the case?
Posted by: CharlieFrown on 2017-03-09 05:16:18
Hi, it might seem obvious to you, but I do not want to mess it while trying it for a first time.

I need to replace that  frontal logo on the case of my Plus (colors are totally washed out), on some Internet photos this little apple logo seems like a badge which stick to the hole in the plastic. Will tiny flathead screwdriver do the trick or maybe ducktape method - stick and pull?

There is a hole in the front casing, just behind the Apple logo, pushing from the inside with a paper clip will pop the logo out.

Carefully though!  Apparently if you push too hard you can dimple the front of the logo.

Yep, you can.

You can use something like a hairdryer to gently apply some heat before pushing it out. Softens the adhesive.

Fortunately popped out smoothly! Had to remove the frame that holds the hard disk, but then it was a piece of cake.

Thank you guys.
