| HDI-30 to 25 pin cable has wrong gender |
Posted by: snuci on 2014-11-15 08:09:11 I need an HDI-30 to SCSI Centronics cable to connect a SCSI hard drive.
Looking in my pile of cables for an HDI-30 SCSI cable, I found an HDI-30 cable with a male 25-pin connector on the other end. I also have a normal SCSI Centronics to 25 pin male connector cable. Can I just use a 25 pin female to female gender changer or are the pin outs incompatible?
I'm also not sure what the HDI-30 to male 25 pin cable is normally used for.
Any help is appreciated.

I had planned to use if for the Apple Interactive TV box to try to hook up a SCSI drive to it but now I wonder if I can hook this up and see if I can read the Interactive TV box? I'll give it a shot when it comes. In the meantime, I bought another cable on eBay that should be the right one.
Thanks for the reply. I didn't know you could do that but it kinda makes sense.
