It will work fine for about 5-10 minutes, then crash, either by freezing, by displaying a shimmering dialog box (about the size of the standard system bomb box), or by freezing and displaying random garbage on the screen.
This is NOT a software issue, as I have booted from various system disks with the same results.
This Plus randomly did the dialog box for many years, but very, very rarely. I've had it since 1999 and this problem is a very recent development.
It has no other symptoms besides this.
Any ideas on what is causing this? My first instinct says bad RAM, but could it be anything on the analog board or even the main board? (Really hoping it's not the analog board...)
I don't currently have another Plus logic board to test with but do have a lot of extra 1MB SIMMs pulled from various Classics and SEs.

Anything you can swap out to try?
EDIT
Oh yeah just try the other ram. If it still is happening it could be the rom?
