Posted by: Cory5412 on 2017-02-20 15:56:05 Any specific reason why you're looking to build your own? If there's something one of the regular docks don't do, it may literally be impossible. I'm presuming Trash80-to-HPmini would already have done so otherwise. I know something he was looking into at some point was a lid-off duodock that let you use the machine itself in the big dock with... stereo audio, and I forget how that went.
Regardless, good luck.

Posted by: Cory5412 on 2017-02-20 17:13:40 It's going to be an awful lot more expensive to build one.

I know something he was looking into at some point was a lid-off duodock that let you use the machine itself in the big dock with... stereo audio, and I forget how that went. It all worked out great, NuBus worked fine without the Dock"s DeclROM, that's how you get the LCD to function when Docked. So the AudioMedia Card output stereo when it was set up just right. Still haven't tried the MiniDock's DeclROM in the Dock 1, that ought to restore full services lost without ROM support, maybe some day.
Suck it up and buy one if you want one. MiniDocks are great if you don't need NuBus. Even a full dock won't cost you nearly what trying to cobble one together will set you back in money, much less time.

Posted by: bunnspecial on 2017-02-26 13:52:25 Just going to mention the fact that DuoDocks don't HAVE to be expensive.
I paid $50ish for one shipped on Ebay that included a(working) 210. I had the "tick of death", but with a new C28 in the PSU it was fine.
