| LC575 Start up issues |
Posted by: D3lky on 2017-02-09 16:16:35 We hit the button, we get the start up sound. Then it immediately plays a little tune. That's it, nothing on the screen. No cigar.
Any clues on how to breath life back into the walk down amnesia lane?
Thanks heaps.

Posted by: D3lky on 2017-02-09 16:27:01 Built in LC575 monitor. The battery may be flat but there's no evidence of it exploding. Is the battery required for powered startup or simply to retain info when powered down?

Posted by: IlikeTech on 2017-02-09 16:28:49 It is just to retain info. Is there any corrosion or signs of cap's leaking. That might look like oily patches around the caps.

Posted by: D3lky on 2017-02-09 16:55:31 I have a second board which has no such leaks however not start up of any sort whatsoever from that board. No sound, no picture, no nothing.
|
Posted by: IlikeTech on 2017-02-09 17:09:51 That seems very likely. Try washing the board. You pretty much have nothing to loose.

Posted by: D3lky on 2017-02-09 18:03:12 It looks like beyond the dirt it has some bad dental work. Maybe someone has already had a go but been a bit brutal. Pretty sure it's never going to dance again.
I might advertise for another board and see what I can find. 🙂 Thanks heaps!

Posted by: techknight on 2017-02-12 17:16:46 Looking at U12, I can clearly see the corrosion has eaten away the pins.Â
The likelihood of that board singing again is next to none, Unless you can swap out U12 from a donor board.Â
