Fixing cut cord on Apple USB Mouse
Posted by: Carboy7 on 2017-02-08 19:58:51
So I got an Apple USB mouse for $.50, and it's the original Bondi flavor one! Too bad the cord was cut... :-/

But we can fix it! We have the technology! A generic USB cable should do the trick. It has to be as thin as the original cord, though.

A basic remainder is that most USB cables have tiny red, green, white, and black wires on the inside. The mouse does too. So, solder the wires of the respective color together.

Woo! I'm done. The mouse WORKS! The wires are soldered together... Inside the mouse!IMG_0022.JPGIMG_0023.JPGIMG_0024.JPG (don't mind the random toys in the background 😛 )Unfortunately, the cable isn't a yellow transparent. But who the heck cares? 😀

EDIT: Thanks, dad!
