| FREE Boxed Mac 128K! |
Posted by: belgaonkar on 2017-02-07 15:55:14 Yesterday I saw an ad on CL for a free 128k, I immediately emailed the seller and asked to setup a time. When I got to his house he threw in an extra keyboard, mouse, floppy drive (Harvard stamped) and a bunch of other software. The 128k was upgraded to a 512k, and he even included the screw removal tool and the original 128k motherboard. The box is missing a few inserts but can't complain! All for FREE!

Posted by: jgk on 2017-02-07 18:54:12 Very nice. The floppies can be a pain to tear down and clean up. Takes a bit of patience. But, I did the one on my Mac 512K a few years ago. Works like new now, so it's definitely worth the effort.

Posted by: CharlieFrown on 2017-02-08 00:10:48 Envy you! You guys are so lucky, but a few weeks ago bought Amiga 1200 for decent price. Quite blind purchase, because I only saw a few pictures.
Came with GVP 030/40 card, bunch of extra mice, heavy duty PSU and some guide books - that seller didnt mention.

Posted by: belgaonkar on 2017-02-08 03:53:58 The 128k is a tad bit yellow. Ill try to retr0brite it. I thought the external floppy drive was very cool 😎

Posted by: EvilCapitalist on 2017-02-08 05:29:28 Very nice conquest!
It's amazing the stuff you can find that originally came from colleges/universities. Things just get tucked away in a corner and completely forgotten about, and then fall out of inventory (or were never inventoried in the first place).

Posted by: belgaonkar on 2017-02-08 08:40:56 The box has a Dartmouth college sticker on it and the floppy seems to be from Harvard. The floppy had a $35 price tag stuck on it, so I imagine it was purchased later on.

Posted by: haemogoblin on 2017-02-12 04:07:18 When I took apart the drive in my Plus, I discovered the best lubricant was a bicycle chain always wet oil. I did it years ago now and it still works fine.
