| Macintosh 512k Ram direct connect to cpu |
Posted by: Macintoshguy1984 on 2017-01-30 19:57:15 i have a macintosh 512k with bad ram which i tried to replace, but ruined the traces. Is there a way i could directly connect a wire to one of the pins on the cpu to fix the ram?

Posted by: Gorgonops on 2017-01-30 21:10:17 Didn't I already tell you how you could fix it in your last thread about you nuking the traces? The short answer is no, you can't go soldering on the CPU pins to fix it, you need to fix it by a combination of piggybacking and running jumpers. At a certain point you're going to have to accept that there isn't a magic shortcut that will let you run one wire and have it magically repaired with less effort than I described.

You can probably make the machine run again, but it's going to take some patience and work. Good luck 🙂
