Help - Macintosh Classic II - ROM slots
Posted by: AlpineRaven on 2017-01-16 23:53:23
Help!!!!! I pulled these roms out of Macintosh Classic II to wash the logicboard, to my idiotity for not realising extra holes on the rom chips.
One side (PDS slot side) has extra holes, which hole should it be.
Does anyone have an classic board that could indicate correct ROM position?

Cheers & thank you

Looks Fine to me.

Interesting, you have the newer 2 ROM Chip version; I have the earlier 4 Chip version.

I thought you were talking about the ROM Slot on the side of the logic board. The only thing for that I remember is a FPU Upgrade made by forum members Parallel and Alaska360. Talk to them if they still have a couple units to sell. It speeds up the Classic II with several apps like games and desktop publishing/graphics programs.

The board is labeled for placement of those chips.
