SE/30's A/B - how much of it do you really need . . .

.  .  .  in the case that you've removed the CRT and replaced it with a 10" Color VGA CRT?

To be more specific, I'm talking about removing any components like the flyback and anything else that drives the stock CRT, but isn't necessary to run the MoBo.

none of it. just have to re-wire the power supply into the LB harness.

SWEET! That'll be easier and prettier if I depopulate the thing and use it as a "re-wire" circuit board. I thought there might be a BigAss load leveling capacitor, some kind of line cleaning component or some other kind of annoying schiznit on there that might be necessary/desirable to keep in place.

In the 128/512/Classic/Classic II, yes. PSU and CRT circuitry are all intertwined, and separating them completely is very difficult I would think.

The SE and SE/30 have separate PSUs, however, so it would be trivial to isolate whatever wires serve the LB and cut off/reroute the rest.

How do you plan to get video out? A PDS video card?

That'd be the fallback option.
