How can I connect the LED to that new drive so that I can show HD activity?

On my drive, I had to gently bend the pins up to make enough room for the LED connector to fully seat on the connector. Also, do a quick power on test before reassembly. That way you will know if you have the polarity correct or if you need to flip it around.
