PicoWifiModem

I'm going to build a PicoWifiModem at https://github.com/mecparts/PicoWiFiModem on a perfboard.

I ordered (5) RS232 to TTL converter serial port boards, which have a MAX3232 chip and all components for $7.89 on Amazon - because it was cheaper than buying a single MAX3232 chip, DB9 connector and parts. Also ordered (10) 74HCT245 on Amazon for $9.99.

I have the rest of the parts, including the Raspberry Pi PicoW in my parts bin. I'll try using the 24LC128 instead of the 24LC32 EEPROM, because that's the smallest EEPROM in my parts bin that works at 3.3V.

There's a Mac version of the above, but I don't have any 8 pin connectors for the Mac serial ports, and buying the connector will likely double the cost of the project https://github.com/gutbomb/MacPicoModem

I'll just convert a Mac serial cable to have the DB9 male connector on one end.

Should be fun.

Looks like a fun project! Make sure you get on a Mac BBS like CQ II when it's up and running.
