AsantéPrint hardware "EtherTalk Mode" dial

I'm morbidly curious what the "EtherTalk Mode" dial does on the back of this AsantéPrint… especially with a full circle of choices, not just "1" or "2":

Not curious enough to buy it... I don't think. Software is available, however.
